Simple preventive steps can make a significant difference.
🎒 1. Keep Your Belongings With You Most thefts occur when items are briefly left unattended. Never leave bags, phones, or wallets on seats, benches, or shop trolleys. When in cafés or public spaces, keep bags on your lap or loop the strap around your leg.In gyms or changing rooms, always use a sturdy locker with a reliable lock.
👀 2. Stay Aware in Busy Areas Crowded places are hotspots for distraction thefts. Keep bags zipped and worn in front of you in busy streets or public transport.Don’t place phones in back pockets or open jacket pockets.Be cautious of people distracting you, asking for directions, or bumping into you.

Use a passcode, fingerprint, or face ID.Register devices on Immobilise.com (national property database).Keep a record of IMEI/serial numbers in case of loss or theft.Avoid leaving phones on tables in pubs or restaurants — a common theft method.
